STEP 1 COMPLETE- Dyna Models
CHOOSE BUILD CATEGORY
SPORT
All Dynas fit well into this category if you are looking to get the most performance you can get. Typically, Sport packages are for one up riding and little, or no luggage. These engines have higher compression and a power range from just off idle to redline. If you feel you'd often be riding your Dyna 2 up or only have access to 91 octane fuel, then refer to the Sport Touring package below.

SPORT TOURING
Your Dyna would be comfortable here if you ride 2 up often but still want the most performace you can get. While this package increases compression ratios above the Touring package, it does so in a way that preserves rideability with a personality friendly to bikes that carry passengers and have a heavy rider. These are very reliable combinations but may require a modification in riding style if less than 93 octane fuel is purchased. Usually this means down shifting to pass (eliminating detonation) instead of just rolling it on. It's recommended to run 93 octane fuel in this package, however, in most cases ignition timing can be adjusted to prevent detonation if you only have 91 octane available.

TOURING
If you spend alot of your time with a passenger and luggage, or live in regions with steep grades and only have access to 91 octane fuel, this is a great setup for you. These combinations are specifically designed to put the power band where you need it most for those long trips thru the mountains with the heaviest of loads while considering the limitations of 91 octane fuel.
